Daniel
Co-Founder
I am a Programme Manager at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, a school governor, and the author of the memoir After Oxford, which describes the impact that race, culture, friendships and family have had on my identity, perspectives, and ambitions.
I grew up in Birmingham before studying Economics and Management at the University of Oxford, where I led campaigns on student access, racial awareness and equality, and was an elected student representative. I have now returned 'home' to Birmingham where I enjoy playing football, reading and learning Spanish!

Leonie
Co-Founder
I’m a commercial lawyer and am senior counsel at a tech company, having trained at a Magic Circle firm.
Before I started working in Law, I worked for Rare and I’ve remained involved with efforts to increase representation of the Black community in the legal industry since. I’m currently chair of my company’s diversity & inclusion group.
I’m also a founding member of Night Therapy (as is Tanisha!) - we throw parties for our community. I also paint a lot - mostly portraits and abstract pieces.

Rosanna
Co-Founder
I was inspired to set up BHF after attending a live crowdfunding event and realising that I knew so many people who wanted to support the Black community but without the means of connecting with the projects that most needed their support.
I'm British-Caribbean and grew up in Wellingborough. I've spent almost a decade working in policy, in both the private and public sectors and have degrees in physiology and public law. In my own time I love to play and watch sports.

Tanisha
Co-Founder
I am currently legal counsel for a audio technology company.
Prior to becoming a solicitor, I worked at Rare, where I focused on legal development programmes, working directly with students from underrepresented backgrounds as they navigated the process of securing training contracts at City law firms. In 2019 I started running paint parties, through which I’ve been able to share my love for painting with others, and collaborate with other Black-owned businesses. I also co-founded Night Therapy (along with Leonie).
